Protection & Supervision

Loading Supervision & Cargo Inspection

Supervision means checking on site that loading or discharge follows the plan, and recording it. ZG LASHING reports the critical points — from container suitability to the final lashing check — with photos, and makes the distinction clear wherever an independent survey is required.

What is this service?

Cargo inspection and supervision is the on-site monitoring and documentation, against a checklist, of the transport unit's condition, the cargo's condition and quantity, stowage and securing quality and sealing. Operational supervision and an independent survey for insurance or disputes carry different authority and responsibilities.

Methods and materials

Standard checklist

Photo evidence

Time-stamped photos at every critical step.

Non-conformity notice

A damaged container or deviation from the plan is reported to the responsible party immediately.

Safety and checkpoints

  • Supervisors follow port/site safety rules and access permits.
  • Safe distance is kept from working forklifts and cranes.
  • Reports contain observed findings only; no opinion is given on what was not seen.

Example scenario

Example scenario (illustrative): an exporter cannot attend the loading of a five-container shipment. During supervision a hole is found in one container floor; the container is replaced and the process is documented in a photo report.

Frequently asked questions

Is a supervision report enough for insurance?

An operational supervision report documents how the work was done. Insurance or dispute cases usually require a report from an authorised, independent surveyor — a separate service.

When is the report delivered?

Delivery time depends on the operation's size and is stated in the quote. Any critical non-conformity is reported on site immediately.
